The Story
In many organisational hierarchy’s a managers role is incredibly demanding. They get squeezed. Demands from above, requests from below. Its easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain.
For many managers the last year will have been the most stressful of their careers. And the same will apply for the people they manage.
The combination of additional stressors and the need to maintain workload in unfamiliar conditions will mean some things get less attention. Often this is the area of team mental wellbeing. Primarily because managers are unsure about what to do.
Manage Mental Wellbeing Lite is designed to increase managers confidence to take an effective first step with a staff member who might be struggling. While putting in place some simple team habits to nurture team resilience,
“Our experience is that it’s not lack of care that prevents managers effectively supporting team mental wellbeing, it’s knowing what to do.”
